Only use what is in the<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">research article \u2013 do not provide something that is not<br \/>\nthere.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">\u2022 Describe the research design (i.e., interventional or<br \/>\nnon-intervention, then descriptive, correlational,<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">quasi-experimental or experimental), the design\u2019s purpose,<br \/>\nand what the design classification\/sub-type<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">is.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">\u2022 Identify the sampling method: probability or<br \/>\nnon-probability and the type (e.g., simple random, cluster,<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">etc.). Include why this method was used for this study.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">\u2022 Identify any research instruments (limit to four, but<br \/>\nthere may only be one or none for some designs)<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">that are measuring the dependent variable or concept under<br \/>\nstudy. Do not identify physiologic instruments, e.g., weight scale. Include how<br \/>\nthe author(s) did or did not identify the instrument\u2019s reliability and<br \/>\nvalidity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">\u2022 Identify each statistical analysis test used in the study,<br \/>\nand its symbol (whether used in the article or not).<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">\u2022 Explain what each statistical analysis test measures and<br \/>\nwhy it was used for this study based on the research design. Include<br \/>\ndescriptive\/ inferential, parametric\/ nonparametric, type of data, level of<br \/>\nmeasurement, number of variables, and number of groups. If the statistical test<br \/>\nis not covered in the course, you will need to find other resources to answer<br \/>\nthe questions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">\u2022 Present a summary of the study\u2019s statistical results<br \/>\nillustrating key statistical data. Condense the statistical results to your own<br \/>\nillustration to show the key (not all) results answering the research<br \/>\npurpose\/problem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">\u2022 Succinctly describe the study\u2019s key results in your own<br \/>\nwords<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">\u2022 Identify and explain at least two threats to internal and<br \/>\ntwo threats to external design validity. If the<\/p>\n<p style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">author(s) do not discuss these in the article, are there<br \/>\nthreats you identified? Include why the researchers chose this design (its purpose)<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<\/span><b style=\"font-weight: bold; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">and<\/b><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<\/span>the design\u2019s classification\/ sub-type (e.g., quasi-experimental, nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design)<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Slide #9 &#8211; make sure you include<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<\/span><b style=\"font-weight: bold; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">all<\/b><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<\/span>the aspects of the statistical tests as requested (e.g., an independent t-test is a parametric inferential statistical test used with interval level data that determines whether there is a statistically significant difference between the means in two unrelated groups).<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Slide #10-11 &#8211; &nbsp;<b style=\"font-weight: bold; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Do not<\/b><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<\/span>use tables or diagrams from the article.
