Explain James&#8217; concept of live and dead hypothesis. Can James&#8217; arguments help us to understand something about political disagreement in our times? If so, how?<\/p>\n<p>and<\/p>\n<p>How does Descartes answer the question, is knowledge possible?<\/p>\n<p>This is a nice essay on William James in the popular publication, Aeon: <a class=\"instructure_file_link inline_disabled external\" href=\"http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/35onhwnu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tinyurl.com\/35onhwn<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"instructure_file_link inline_disabled external\" href=\"http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/35onhwnu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span class=\"external_link_icon\"><span class=\"screenreader-only\">Links to an external site.<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>What follows is some supplementary material on Descartes. Remember, in order to receive full credit for the discussion, you must not only post to these, but respond to 2 other student&#8217;s postings with intelligent criticism or commentary. Ideally, this will stimulate interesting discussions.
