Research Outline and Initial IdeasIn this activity, you’ll be reading through those sources carefully, to find more information for your audio guide.<\/h2>\n

Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/h3>\n

  1. Which Crocker artwork are you focusing on? Give the artist, title, medium (you might have to do some research to find this),<\/em> and date.<\/li>\n
  2. What were some of your key questions about this artwork? What did you personally hope to find out about the artwork through your research? (Try to come up with a focus that is different from that of your teammates!) What personal history, knowledge from your major\/minor, or experiences do you have that might connect to this artwork? <\/li>\n
  3. Return to the three articles, books, or websites you found and read through each one.<\/strong> Or, if they don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t seem to have much information about your artist or something related to the artwork, you might swap them out for a different article. <\/em>
    For each source, list:\n
      \n
    1. The Chicago Style citation <\/strong>(like last time! You can generate this easily\u00e2\u20ac\u201djust click on the CITE THIS ITEM button in the library databases)<\/li>\n
    2. What is the main point\/argument that the article makes about the artist or topic<\/strong> that your audio guide is focusing on?<\/li>\n
    3. What are 3-5 key pieces of information from each article that you found interesting, and that you could potentially use in your audio guide? <\/strong>Put this information in your own words, and be sure to give the page number for each.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    4. Finally, look at the sources cited by these authors (check out their footnotes\/endnotes\/bibliography). List the citations for two additional sources that look helpful to you, and note if you could find this source through JSTOR the library website OneSearch<\/strong><\/li>\n
