Objective:<\/span><\/u><\/b> The journal article critique will provide students an
\nin-depth analysis of a peer reviewed journal article.  The objective of
\nthis critique is to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, methodologies,
\nfindings, and overall contribution of the article to the field of lifespan
\npsychology. The critique employs a systematic approach to assess the article’s
\nkey components, including its research design, theoretical framework, data
\ncollection and analysis methods, as well as implications and significance for
\nthe broader academic and practical context. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Instructions:<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

1.    
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Select a research article from a
\npeer-reviewed journal that is relevant to your research interests and the
\ncourse content. The article must be published within the last five years.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2.    
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Read the article carefully, paying
\nattention to the research questions, hypotheses, methods, results, and
\nconclusions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3.    
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Write a critical review of the
\narticle, including the following components: a. Introduction<\/b>:
\nBriefly introduce the research article, including the research questions and
\nobjectives. b. Methodology<\/b>: Describe the research design, sample
\nsize, data collection methods, and data analysis techniques used in the study.
\nc. Results:<\/b> Summarize the main findings of the study and
\ndiscuss their significance. d. Strengths\/Limitations:<\/b> Evaluate
\nthe strengths and weaknesses of the research article, including the study
\ndesign, data collection methods, data analysis techniques, and conclusions.
\ne. Conclusion\/Recommendations\/Further Research: <\/b>Provide a
\nsummary of your critique and discuss the implications of the research findings
\nfor your field of study.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Grading:<\/span><\/u><\/b> The assignment will be graded based on the following
\ncriteria:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\narticle.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n(50pts.<\/b>): The journal article critique effectively summarizes the main
\ncriteria and key points of the research article.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2.    
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Organization
\n(20pts.<\/b>): The journal article critique is well-organized and easy to
\nfollow.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3.    
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>APA
\nStyle & Communication (20pts.<\/b>): The journal article critique follows
\nAPA formatting research writing style.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

4.    
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Reference
\n& Citation (10pts.<\/b>): The presentation is free of spelling and
\ngrammatical errors, and the APA format is used correctly.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n200-400 words, double-spaced, and in Times New Roman font, size 12.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nin-text citation and reference the journal article only for this assignment.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3.    
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Submit your article critique via the
\ndesignated submission portal by the assigned due date.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
