\nof these novels presents a first-person perspective on a particular culture,
\nusually about immigration or other issues related to being in a different
\nculture or having to experience culture shock.
\n<\/span>It would help if you read the novel for enjoyment, but also with the
\nlens of a different cultural perspective and what that would mean for students
\nfrom that culture trying to attend school in Illinois. <\/span><\/p>\n

\nrelevant research materials related to the culture. <\/span>All references must be listed on a reference
\nlist at the end of your paper, including the novel and the class textbook. <\/span>Any reference to any information source
\n(whether direct or indirect) should also be cited using an appropriate form for
\nin-text citations. <\/span><\/p>\n

\nthe student bring to the classroom setting?<\/p>\n

\nbeliefs and cultural and socioeconomic background relate to this cultural

\nvisceral reaction to the story and how it may have changed your opinions of

\nbrought from the student\u2019s peers or teacher vis a vis prejudice or stereotyping?<\/p>\n
\nsignificant portion of your analysis paper reflecting on your personal
\nexperiences, previous expectations regarding this culture, and what you have
\nlearned from the experience of reading.
\n<\/span>Relate any experiences you may have had with people from this culture
\nand how you might better understand your interactions resulting from this
\nexperience.<\/p>\n
