Students will be required to come up with a research proposal for a forensic psychology topic of their choice. The research proposal should include a description of a forensic psychology study <\/span>including a distinct psychological topic <\/span>and<\/u> <\/span>a distinct legal topic<\/em><\/strong>. For this project, students should describe in detail, <\/span>the <\/span>research question<\/u>, <\/span>background research<\/u> <\/span>on this topic <\/span><\/strong>(at least three journal references<\/em><\/strong>), the <\/span>hypothesis<\/u>, an <\/span>independent variable<\/u>, a <\/span>dependent variable<\/u>, the <\/span>target sample and population<\/u>, data collection <\/span>methods<\/u>, data collection <\/span>procedure<\/u>, a <\/span>description of the study design<\/u> <\/span><\/strong>(experimental, correlational, quasi-experimental, survey, archival, content analysis, etc.), and the <\/span>proposed statistical analysis<\/u> <\/span><\/strong>(talk to Dr. Logan if you need help with this). Each project should include a title page with the authors\u2019 (students) names and the title of the project. The document should be <\/span>2-3 pages in length (not including title page or reference page)<\/strong> <\/span>and should be in APA format (12 pt. Times New Roman font, 1-inch margins, double-spaced, etc.).
