{"id":27100,"date":"2023-08-08T04:26:12","date_gmt":"2023-08-08T04:26:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.goodacademic.com\/blog\/questions\/designing-interfaces-to-help-individuals-manage-memories-more-effectively-emotion-recognition-for-memory-management\/"},"modified":"2023-08-08T04:26:12","modified_gmt":"2023-08-08T04:26:12","slug":"designing-interfaces-to-help-individuals-manage-memories-more-effectively-emotion-recognition-for-memory-management","status":"publish","type":"questions","link":"https:\/\/www.goodacademic.com\/blog\/questions\/designing-interfaces-to-help-individuals-manage-memories-more-effectively-emotion-recognition-for-memory-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Designing Interfaces to Help Individuals Manage Memories More Effectively: Emotion Recognition for Memory Management"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Please read the following attachments and write the literature review on the different areas discussed in the proposal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Instructions:&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>1) Read the project proposal.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>2) Read the literature review draft (copy of literature review) that needs to be rewritten.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>3) See the literature review funnel attachment &#8211; according to which the literature review should be written.<\/div>\n<div>4) Please see the attached sample paper to use as an example in order to structure the literature review.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>5) Please write the sections in a way that builds a story and each section should have a heading such as emotional states and user interface, memory and user interface, etc.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>6) Finish the literature review by narrowing the research that focuses on the main goal of the proposal and hypothesis.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>7) Provide the jurisdiction as to why this research will be important and provide data for the comparison.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>8) Each section should lead to the next section&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>Literature Review Components:&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n<p style=\"margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 0px; cursor: auto;\">Similar to primary research, the development of the literature review requires four stages:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px; cursor: auto;\">\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Problem formulation\u2014which topic or field is being examined and what are its component issues?<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Literature search\u2014finding materials relevant to the subject being explored<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Data evaluation\u2014determining which literature makes a significant contribution to the understanding of the topic<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Analysis and interpretation\u2014discussing the findings and conclusions of pertinent literature<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 0px; cursor: auto;\">Literature reviews should comprise the following elements:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px; cursor: auto;\">\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">An overview of the subject, issue, or theory under consideration, along with the objectives of the literature review<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Division of works under review into categories (e.g. those in support of a particular position, those against, and those offering alternative theses entirely)<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Explanation of how each work is similar to and how it varies from the others<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Conclusions as to which pieces are best considered in their argument, are most convincing of their opinions and make the greatest contribution to the understanding and development of their area of research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-left: 0px; cursor: auto;\">In assessing each piece, consideration should be given to:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px; cursor: auto;\">\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Provenance\u2014What are the author&#8217;s credentials? Are the author&#8217;s arguments supported by evidence (e.g. primary historical material, case studies, narratives, statistics, recent scientific findings)?<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Objectivity\u2014Is the author&#8217;s perspective even-handed or prejudicial? Is contrary data considered or is certain pertinent information ignored to prove the author&#8217;s point?<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Persuasiveness\u2014Which of the author&#8217;s theses are most\/least convincing?<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Value\u2014Are the author&#8217;s arguments and conclusions convincing?
