Housing inequality impacts each of us in different ways. Whether we \u201ccome\u201d from upper- or middle-class
\nneighborhoods or low-income\/working-class communities, we have each experienced the impacts of what
\nwe\u2019ve read and learned about in this course first-hand, likely in a different way. For this mid-term prospectus
\nand final paper, you do not have to focus on your own \u201chome\u201d community, but you are welcome to.
\nChoose a neighborhood, community, region, or area to focus on. Consider how historical policies and practices
\nhave shaped the lives of those within the chosen space, for better and\/or for worse. Use course materials, as
\nwell as the resources available to you through the students will submit either a 7 to 8-page paper on their research findings. <\/p>\n

 Consider including the following major sections\/subtopics: Indigenous groups\/ removal through colonial
\npolicies\/practices; any early cases of black wealth creation; erasure of Black wealth during Jim Crow through
\nrace riots or terrorism; implementation of federal\/state\/local policies in housing; local social practices;
\ncontemporary housing\/spatial issues.<\/div>\n
