for a context, my research title is using artificial intelligence in a classroom and how it could contribute to students social emotional learning. the use of AI is not very common for students with special needs especially in Brunei Darussalam. hence, I as a researcher aim to see whether AI could be used to help or serve as a guide for the students to ease their daily living life after they move out from secondary education. It also wanting to see whether it has an effect to students social Emotional learning<\/p>\n

* How has AI affect education, a good or bad way<\/div>\n

* the need of AI to catch up and adapt in education especially teaching and learning<\/div>\n
* has there been a research about using AI on students with special needs? if yes, what were they using and what are they measuring. If not, this research aim to fill in the gap.<\/div>\n

* the demand of social emotional learning (SEL) in school that aren’t taught<\/div>\n
* the importance of teaching social emotional learning especially for students with special needs<\/div>\n
* SEL is an integral part of capacity building and it goes hand in hand with academic performance<\/div>\n
* The benefit of AI for learning purposes (it actually aim to expose them to new technology\/tools so students are keep up with the current trend)<\/div>\n

The general aim of this research is to explore the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in educational settings and what contribution AI would bring to students\u2019 social and emotional learning as they prepare for post-secondary transition. <\/span><\/p>\n

Hence, in order to meet the objectives of the research, below are the proposed research questions:<\/span><\/p>\n

RQ 1: How can AI be used as an effective teaching tool to enhance students\u2019 learning experience <\/span><\/p>\n

RQ 2: How can AI affect students\u2019 decision making and self-awareness in social emotional learning?<\/span><\/p>\n

RQ 3: What are the challenges faced by the students when using AI?<\/span><\/p>\n

* Single subject design where there would be pre-test, intervention and post-test<\/p>\n

* what is the independent variable and dependent variable<\/p>\n

* observation checklist, observation notes, interview post-test, scoring rubric based on recipe creation<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

* I am trying to use ChatGPT as an AI tool to assess the student’s decision making as well as self-management in SEL<\/p>\n

* pre-test, teacher will observe student’s decision making skill and self-management using a checklist<\/span><\/p>\n

* the student will need to create a recipe with the help from AI as an intervention, teacher will bethere as a facilitator to ease communication with ChatGPT<\/p>\n

* Post-test, student will need to create the recipe from the intervention without the help of teacher and chatGPT, decision making and self-management skill is measured again to look for progress<\/p>\n
