This is what I started with: <\/span>Leadership development and team building is now one of my favorite classes I<\/span> <\/span>have <\/a>taken at Eastern Gateway Community College.  <\/span>This class was full of knowledge that I can use in <\/span>real life that will overall benefit me as an individual and as a leader. I remember clearly, in the<\/span> <\/span>first <\/a>week of the semester, I thought this class was going to be awful and super hard based off of the <\/span>first assignment, but I pushed those bad thoughts away and began to enjoy the class. I love<\/span> <\/span>being <\/a>taught by people who are successful and throughout this class I was able to watch videos of <\/span>successful people speaking about topics that I could apply to my own life. Throughout the <\/span>course, I have built on my definition of a leader and learned new goal setting strategies. I have also <\/span>learned how to apply those traits\/strategies not only to myself but to my career as well. <\/span><\/span>Before taking this class, I thought of a leader as someone who likes to be in charge of people.<\/span> <\/span><\/div>\n
