I will download two articles to read. One is a hypothetical story of a sex offender. The other article is the Texas Risk Assessment System. You will need to read the made up history of the fake sex offender and then calculate the score on the TRAS article. I will copy and paste my professors exact instrustions.<\/p>\n

1. Read the PSIR provided to you for a hypothetical offender. <\/span><\/div>\n
2. Use the background information in the PSIR to score the offender using the Texas Risk Assessment Communitity Supervision- Felony Score Sheet.<\/span>

3. <\/span>Calculate the offender\u2019s score for each of the seven subscales in the TRAS instrument. This will ask you to evaluate the offender based on certain criteria such as prior record, flight risk status, family connections, educational background, work history, etc. to determine whether this individual is at high risk for reoffending.<\/span><\/div>\n
4. <\/span>Calculate the offender\u2019s final risk score by adding all subtotals together. This is the easy part once you made those determinations in the last step. <\/span><\/div>\n
5. <\/span>Justify the scoring process in a 1 to 2-page essay, using specific behaviors or characteristics identified in the PSIR to support your score for each item. You should explain how to came to the individual scores for the 7 criteria and for the final summed score. Be detailed here and expand your answers. Don’t just tell me it happened, but rather tell me why you went in the direction you did. The more detailed the better in fact!<\/span><\/div>\n
6. <\/span>In terms of formatting, the paper needs to be 1-2 pages of content. This means that you must have at least one complete 8×11 page of content for this assignment. Large name headers, title pages, extra spacing, reference sections, etc. do not count toward content.
