This dissertation presents a comparative analysis of recidivism rates in
\nNorway and Great Britain, focusing specifically on women’s imprisonment. <\/span>The central research question
\nof this dissertation is: What are the factors influencing recidivism rates
\namong female offenders in Norway and Great Britain, and how do these countries’
\napproaches to rehabilitation, normalisation, and integration impact these
\nrates?<\/span>

Recidivism refers to the relapse into criminal behaviour by individuals
\nwho have previously been convicted and incarcerated.<\/span> It is
\na critical indicator of the effectiveness of correctional systems in
\nrehabilitating offenders and reducing recidivism rates. By examining recidivism rates, we can gain
\ninsights into the success or failure of rehabilitation programs in promoting
\nlong-term behavioural change among female prisoners.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This study aims to conduct a
\ncomparative analysis of recidivism rates in Norway and Great Britain, by exploring
\nthe factors that contribute to the varying rates of recidivism among female
\noffenders in these two countries. By examining secondary data, this study aims
