It is also recommended that you begin reviewing Chapter 1 exercises 1.2, 1.3, and 1.5 and Chapter 2 exercises 2.1, 2.3, and 2.4, as these will be your homework assignment due later in the week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12px 0px; cursor: auto;\">Over the next five weeks, you will build a<span style=\"cursor: auto;\">&nbsp;<\/span><a style=\"cursor: auto;\" data-api-returntype=\"Page\" data-api-endpoint=\"https:\/\/ashford.instructure.com\/api\/v1\/courses\/73891\/pages\/concept-maps\">concept map<\/a><span style=\"cursor: auto;\">&nbsp;<\/span>presentation using a presentation software such as PowerPoint or<span style=\"cursor: auto;\">&nbsp;<\/span><a style=\"cursor: auto;\"><span style=\"cursor: auto;\">draw.io<\/span><span style=\"cursor: auto;\"><span style=\"margin: -1px -1px 0px; cursor: auto;\">Links to an external site.<\/span><\/span><\/a>. Each week, you will expand upon your presentation as new topics are introduced and discussed. You will be including revised content from the interactive assignments (both the concept map and corresponding discussion) in your Software Engineering Concept Map and Paper Final Project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12px 0px; cursor: auto;\">Note: Before beginning each interactive assignment in this course, review the instructions for the Final Project in Week 5. This will give you a better sense of how each assignment fits into the final piece.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12px 0px; cursor: auto;\">This week\u2019s section of the concept map is focused on<span style=\"cursor: auto;\">&nbsp;<\/span><em style=\"cursor: auto;\">software engineering and processes<\/em>. For this interactive assignment, you will begin by identifying different software processes and methods used for real-life software development and then including them in your concept map. Your concept map should illustrate and make connections among the concepts of software engineering. Be sure to label each component and describe the function of each software process and method.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12px 0px; cursor: auto;\">In addition to your concept map, you will write a paper explaining software as a deliverable component. In your paper,<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-left: 25px; cursor: auto;\">\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Explain the various elements of the software engineering.<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Provide practical examples where different software engineering methodologies are applicable<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">List the fundamental activities involved in software engineering.<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Explain the software process models\u2014Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the waterfall model, including incremental development, integration, and configuration.<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto;\">Discuss the major activities for<span style=\"cursor: auto;\">&nbsp;<\/span><em style=\"cursor: auto;\">requirements engineering<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin: 12px 0px; cursor: auto;\">Your paper must be a minimum of 600 words.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12px 0px; cursor: auto;\">Attach your presentation concept map and paper in your initial post. In addition, provide a brief summary of the alignment between your concept map and elements within your paper.
