Be sure to look at the data about the mean income and the cultural, ethnic, and racial groups that live in your area. As you review the data, consider what other information is important for you to know as a human services professional working in the area of child and family welfare. This data will be explored in this week&#8217;s discussion.<\/p>\n<ol style=\"margin-top: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-left: 0px; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Go to the<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><a style=\"cursor: auto;\">U.S. Department of Commerce Census Bureau<\/a><\/span>&nbsp;site. (https:\/\/www.census.gov\/quickfacts\/fact\/table\/US\/PST045216)<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Then, in the search box in the upper left, enter your state. This will populate Quick Facts about your state.<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Then, enter your county. If you choose, you can enter your city as well for more specific information.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.5em 0px 1em; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">In addition, review the data on children in your county at the Kids Count website by following these directions:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"margin-top: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-left: 0px; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Go to the&nbsp;<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><a style=\"cursor: auto;\">Kids Count Data Center<\/a><\/span><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<\/span>site (https:\/\/datacenter.aecf.org\/locations)<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Click on your state.<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">On the left navigation, under \u201cLocations\u201d, click &#8220;By County&#8221; or &#8220;By City.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">From here, you can review the data for various topics\/indicators.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.5em 0px 1em; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Please respond to the following:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin-top: 1em; margin-right: 0px; margin-left: 0px; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">\n<li style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Identify what county (and\/or city, if you choose to use that data) you live in, and then give a demographic account of the population that comprises your location.
