Unveiling the Hegemonic Struggle between Conservatism and Secularism in Turkey between 2002-2023, which
\ncorresponds to Erdogans Rule. <\/span><\/p>\n


<\/span><\/p>\n

Turkey is
\nhistorically divided into two ideological blocs: Seculars and Conservatives.
\nThroughout the History of the Republic, we can state that Secular hegemony was
\nprevailing until Erdogan\u2019s rule. <\/span>In
\nTurkey, a hegemonic change took place in the last twenty years. I aim to
\nexamine this period by using the Gramscian perspective of hegemony and ideology.<\/p>\n

In Turkey, in the last twenty years, a hegemonic change took place. Erdo\u011fan aims to raise the youth in its own conservative Islamic ideology. Did the conservative hegemonic bloc become successful?<\/span><\/p>\n

Does
\nthe \u201cconquest\u201d of political and institutional power mean the victory of the
\nhegemonic struggle in the social and cultural fields? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

METHODOLOGY:<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

I
\nwill be conducting discourse analysis.<\/b> Focusing on the dominant political
\nfigures, news, political events, and changes in constitutional law. <\/span><\/span>Mapping
\nthe tensions. Laws, Discourses, Common-Sense, Dissident voices, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

    <\/span><\/span>A history of government-forced secularization in
\nTurkey and one of the two main political fractures in society: secuars and
\nconservatives (the second is Turkish and Kurdish identities).<\/span><\/p>\n

IV. Erdo\u011fan’s Turkey (Mapping out the intended transformation of Turkey by considering the tension between Seculars and Conservatives)        <\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
