\n2,250 to 2,700 words. For this assignment, you need to do more than merely
\nprovide a synopsis of the book. Rather, provide a scholarly analysis of the
\nbook and explain what, if anything, it contributes to our understanding of
\ncorrectional systems and practices.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ncriminal justice, and provide invaluable opportunities for personal growth. I
\nwill provide you with an example of a scholarly book review essay in the attachment.

Remember, for your book review essay, be sure to cite peer-reviewed
\narticles and not internet articles\/newspaper articles, etc.  <\/span>Also, please do not cite books, and
\nespecially avoid citing textbooks<\/u>!  <\/span>And,
\nyou will want to put your articles in the proper APA format (or, if you prefer,
\nyou can emulate the format in the book review essay example provided).  <\/span>Please be sure that when you cite articles in
\nyour book review essay, you make reference to key aspects of the article.  <\/span>Do not merely paraphrase the abstract, as
\nthis adds very little to the discussion and is often very easily detected.  <\/span>It must be evident that you are, not only
\nable to locate meaningful articles, but that you have, also, reflected upon
\nthese articles and are able to relate these to your analysis of the book.<\/p>\n
