Guidance:<\/span><\/i> <\/span>Applied psychology is about
\nunderstanding and solving problems including those in human<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>behaviour (such as health, work, politics, and
\nbehaviour change) and psychology\u2019s approach to these. <\/span><\/span>The challenge is to show
\nhow Evolutionary Psychology can tackle an applied problem, e.g., behaviour in
\nthe real world, and advance psychology as a practical science. You will be
\nfocusing on at least one applied area relevant to contemporary evolutionary
\npsychology, selecting from the issues and debates that we follow in the module.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

In the course of the second half of the module we shall further consider
\nand debate the following or equivalent as these emerge in discussion. E<\/span>.g., we may examine what evolutionary psychology can
\ntell us about today\u2019s social and political conflicts, b<\/span>ehaviour
\nchange, health, differences in life outcomes and how current policy or problems
\nmay be addressed. In doing this, we may also cover what it offers to psychology\u2019s
\nrelevance and scientific practice or methods.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>These sessions are intended
\nas formative only, and it is then for you to <\/span>work out your rationale for your choices in
\nthe report.<\/span><\/p>\n

A
\nrationale at the start can help establish a basis for the choice of paragraphs
\nor sections that follow, and can help show how these contribute as you proceed
\nthrough the writing. This is an evaluative report so a suggestion is to perhaps
\ntry in each section of it to set out a key issue to address (and say why it is
\na useful test issue) explore this using the evidence, and then draw a direct
\nimplication for the question before moving on to the next section. This may help
\nthe journey towards your conclusion about evolutionary psychology\u2019s ability to
\ncontribute in the area you have chosen.<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The topic should be based around Sex and Parenting, developing\/improving the report I have previously written acknlowdeging the comments and making it relative to the new question in the assignment topic field. The report should adhere to the learning outcomes \/ instructions above, also with the marking criteria included, to a 2:1 standard. <\/span><\/p>\n
