 Reflection Notes \u2013 Sports Marketing<\/span>
Please put your name in the header of the paper (where it says Reflection Notes \u2013 Sports Marketing<\/span>
above). There should be 300-500 words of your thoughts for each note submitted.<\/span>
For your reflections, here are three ways you can tackle (pun intended) the assignment.<\/span>
1)<\/span> <\/span>Change of thought. Tell me:<\/span>
a.<\/span> <\/span>What the topic is we covered (either one sentence or the number and title of the<\/span>
chapter)<\/span>
b.<\/span> <\/span>What you used to think about the topic as it pertains to marketing, sports, or related<\/span>
industries<\/span>
c.<\/span> <\/span>What you currently think after learning about the topic as it pertains to the same areas<\/span>
2)<\/span> <\/span>Change of thought plus how it can be used. Tell me:<\/span>
a.<\/span> <\/span>What the topic is we covered (either one sentence or the number and title of the<\/span>
chapter)<\/span>
b.<\/span> <\/span>What you currently think after learning about the topic as it pertains to marketing,<\/span>
sports, or related industries<\/span>
c.<\/span> <\/span>How this knowledge can be used by sports marketers (of course, this is what you think,<\/span>
not what the book says!)<\/span>
3)<\/span> <\/span>How it makes you better. Tell me:<\/span>
a.<\/span> <\/span>What the topic is we covered (either one sentence or the number and title of the<\/span>
chapter)<\/span>
b.<\/span> <\/span>What you learned from the topic\/chapter (in your own words)<\/span>
c.<\/span> <\/span>How it will make you a better sports marketer.<\/span>
These are just a few examples of how you can structure your reflection notes. I want to see that you are<\/span>
engaged with the material, have reflected on it (mulled it around a bit), and that you are applying critical<\/span>
thinking to the topics especially since, in the practice of marketing, there is no area that is totally black<\/span>
and white; in most cases, \u201cit depends.\u201d<\/span>
PLEASE NOTE:<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> <\/span>Submit this to the appropriate week\u2019s assignment area as a word document (a pdf or any other<\/span>
type of file will receive an automatic zero).<\/span>
\uf0b7<\/span> <\/span>If we are covering Chapter 3 in week 3, I would expect to see your note on Chapter 3 in week 3<\/span>
or, at the latest, in week 4. I will not accept reflections for much-delayed submissions of<\/span>
chapters; in other words, do not try to submit a reflection for Chapter 3 in week 5, 13, and so<\/span>
