Purpose: <\/span><\/strong>Population Health Informatics <\/span>in an important aspect of understanding the current status of our health system. As technology becomes more complex and more accessible, advanced practice providers will have to understand how their role may fit into the ever-changing landscape of informatics. <\/span><\/span><\/span>This assignment assists students to learn more about health informatics related to population health. Students will have the opportunity to discuss advanced practice roles, barriers and challenges related to informatics.<\/p>\n

Task: <\/strong><\/i><\/p>\n

1) <\/span><\/i>Find an article relating to; cloud computing and health informatics, or informatics\/technology related to advanced nursing practice.<\/em><\/i><\/p>\n

2) <\/i>Post the article in the discussion board to share as a <\/span>PDF<\/span> <\/span>with your initial post.<\/em><\/i><\/p>\n

3) <\/span>Answer the following questions related to the article you posted:<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

     a) Provide a summary of the technology\/informatics discussed in your article.<\/p>\n

     b) What have you learned from the article regarding health informatics?<\/p>\n

     c) What is the advance practice role or responsibility in using health informatics\/cloud computing in population health?<\/p>\n

     d) Describe challenges or barriers the article discusses and how do you anticipate these barriers to affect your advanced nursing practice or your patient-provider relationship? <\/p>\n

     e) Describe how the informatics from the article be used in population health?<\/p>\n
