\nimportant topic in criminal investigations – the role of 911 call analysis.<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Who is
\nTracy Harpster?  In answering this question, please make sure you tell me
\nHarpster’s professional background, previous training and experience, and level
\nof education.  Then, describe Harpster’s current contribution to the
\ninvestigation of 911 calls.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Who is
\nSusan Adams? Similar to the previous questions, please make sure you tell me
\nAdams’s professional background, previous training and experience, and level of
\neducation.  Then, describe Adams’s current contribution to the
\ninvestigation of 911 calls.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Discuss the
\npopular course and material taught by Harpster “When the Caller is the
\nKiller.” In your discussion include the target audience for this course,
\nwhat material is taught, and what, if any research or data is presented by
\nHarpster.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Locate and
\ndiscuss a recent criminal court case that involved the utilization of Harpster
\nand Adams methods (hint:  Russ Faria, Jade Benning, Riley Spitler,
\nKathy Carpenter may be a few starting points). Discuss the role of Harpster and
\nAdam’s methods that were utilized and the case outcome.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Discuss ONE
\nof the recent studies that have been published by entities OTHER than Harpster
\nand Adams about the topic of 911 call analysis (hint: a 2020 article by Miller
\nand colleagues or a 2022 article by O’Donnell and colleagues may be useful). In
\nyour discussion include a review of the method involved in the study, the data
\nthat was analyzed, and the results\/findings.  Additionally, describe if
\nthe findings of this study are in alignment with Harpster and Adams research,
\nor if they contradict Harpster and Adams.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Finally,
\ntaking the information you have learned thus far in the application of the Frye
\nand Daubert standards – take a stance.  Do you believe that the techniques
\nused by Harpster and Adams should be admissible in court?<\/span><\/p>\n
