Your primary source selection should be from the appropriate time period
\nand should provide a strong basis for discussion. You might choose to look at a
\nbuilding, a written source such as a charter and\/or a chronicle account, or a
\nsmall physical source.<\/span><\/p>\n

This question asks you to take a long view of Scotland\u2019s relationship
\nwith England, across two centuries. You need to identify how the relationship
\nchanged and explain why these changes occurred. You should think about
\nAnglo-Scottish relations in a variety of contexts including governance, the
\nChurch\/religion, economy, nobility and military. You should also refer to key
\npersonalities (kings, bishops, nobles etc). Your answer should cover the nature
\nof Anglo-Norman influence at the start of the period, the rule of a single
\ndynasty for most of the period, and should consider why the period ended with
\nsuch pronounced Anglo-Scottish tensions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your final paragraph should include reflection on the usefulness and
\nlimitations of the sources you have chosen, and suggestions of other sources
\nwhich could be useful in further study.<\/span><\/p>\n
