This is an admission essay for a Master’s of Science in Nursing- Family Nursing Practictioner Program at St. John Fisher University. I am currently a registered nurse in a hospital, looking to further my education and career in nursing. I am extremely dedicated to my growth as a healthcare professional. I have been a nurse for 6 years. I started out as a LPN in September 2017. I returned to school in November 2019 to pursue an Associates in Applied Science at Helene Fuld College of Nursing in order to successfully pass the RN NCLEX exam in January 2021. I continued on my journey as I worked as a full-time RN to complete my Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University College of Nursing. As I enter this new chapter, I am eager to see what’s next for me. I’ve always wanted to help those less fortunate than I am. Healthcare is always in need of a growing group of compassionate providers and for that, I am interested in what this Family Nurse Practitioner Program has to offer.
