I would like us to revisit US Black scholar W.E.B. DuBois and his theory of Double Consciousness from his book “The Souls of Black Folk”, published in 1903.<\/div>\n
A quote we explored from the book says: “the sense of always looking at oneself through the eyes of others, of measuring one’s soul by the tape  of a world that looks  on it in  amused contempt and pity, …whose dogged strength alone  keeps it from being torn asunder.”<\/div>\n
I would like for you to watch all three videos and also read The Bridge Poem.<\/div>\n
In your essay, I’d  like you to explain how the quote from DuBois book is applicable.  Demonstrate how something written in 1903 can be applied to a poen from 1979 and a video from 2022. By  doing so,  you will be showing that you understand DuBois theory; the meaning of his words.<\/div>\n
