introduction: minimum of three body paragraphs, and a conclusion paragraph. Introduction paragraph should include an opening line(s) that capture the topic at hand, a series of three to five sentences that introduce the story and introduce the story and includes the author\/ title of the text, and a well formulated thesis statement at the end. <\/span><\/div>\n
Body (x3): include a clear topic sentence (or claim), multiple reasons for why that claim is accurate, and multiple pieces of textual evidence to prove the thesis. Each piece of textual evidence should be throughly analyized. <\/span><\/div>\n
Conclusion: restate the thesis in a new way, recap the main points of the body paragraphs, and close out the essay with some insightful commentary on the topic. <\/span><\/div>\n
Formal writing, no personal pronouns, third person perspective, and using present tense.<\/span><\/div>\n
