\nIt must be well developed and includes headings and subheadings.<\/span><\/p>\n

3.     <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>CREATE <\/span><\/u>AN
\nABSTRACT<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

a.     
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Should
\nbe one paragraph that consists of 300 words or less that is formatted per APA.
\nThe Literature Review: Abstract Assignment<\/b> should include the overall
\npurpose of the study and the research problem that you are investigating. It
\nalso should include the basic design of the study and include major findings or
\ntrends that were found as result of the research.<\/span><\/p>\n

4.     <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>CREATE AN
\nANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

a.      <\/span><\/span><\/span>References that
\nare current (less than 3 years)<\/u><\/b> or important for historical
\nbackground<\/span> and <\/span>must utilize at
\nleast 15<\/u><\/b> scholarly references<\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

b.     <\/span><\/span><\/span>Write a brief critical synopsis of
\neach journal, book, etc. on your topic. After going through your reading list,
\nyou will have an abstract or annotation of each source you read. Later
\nannotations are likely to include more references to other works since you will
\nhave your previous readings to compare, but, at this point, the important goal
\nis to get accurate critical summaries of each individual work. Each reference
\nmust be formatted per APA and listed before the synopsis.

\n<\/span><\/p>\n

c.      <\/span><\/span><\/span>An annotated bibliography is a list
\nof sources (books, journals, Web sites, periodicals, etc.) one has used for
\nresearching a topic (\u201cAnnotated Bibliographies\u201d, 2021). <\/span><\/p>\n

For all sources used in your Literature Review you
\nshould:

\n<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. You
    \n should have a minimum of 15 sources.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Provide
    \n an APA formatted references (this should look like what you would
    \n include in a normal reference section.) <\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Summarize
    \n <\/span><\/b>the source
    \n and discuss the research study that was conducted and what the findings
    \n were. <\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Assess <\/span><\/b>the source and discuss how
    \n useful it is and how it compares with other sources in your paper. 
    <\/span>
        <\/font><\/span>i.     <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>Reflect
    \n<\/span><\/b>on
    \nhow the source will be useful to you in your Literature Review. How does it
    \nhelp to shape your argument and how are you using it to shape your writing?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    5.    
    \n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>Each annotation should look like:

    \n<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

    a.     
    \n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Author (year). Title of article. Title
    \nof Journal, Vol no<\/i>(issue). Pg to pg., URL or doi <\/span><\/p>\n

    b.    
    \n<\/span><\/span><\/span>In your summary, you will begin with a discussion of the research
    \nquestion the study is attempting to answer. You will summarize the research
    \nthat was conducted and the specific findings that were uncovered. You will then
    \nprovide a summary of what this means for the topic. <\/span><\/p>\n

    c.     
    \n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Next, you will discuss how the source compares with other sources in
    \nyour paper and how useful is the source in attributing to your writing. <\/span><\/p>\n

    d.    
    \n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Finally, you will discuss how the source is useful in your Literature
    \nReview You will need to be specific on why it is important to use and exactly
    \nhow you will use it in your writing to shape your arguments. <\/span><\/p>\n
