This assignment has five parts. 1) Paraphrase any sentence on one of pages 258-259 in your <\/span>Writing Arguments<\/i>textbook, then, 1a) quote the sentence <\/span>after<\/b> <\/span>the one you paraphrased.  2) Cite both sentences using parenthetical (in-text) citations in either APA or MLA, your choice–but once you’ve made the choice you must use it for the rest of this assignment.  3) Cite the textbook <\/span>Writing Arguments<\/i> <\/span>using MLA or APA (consistent with your first choice).  4) Finally, in the style consistent with your other citations, cite an e-book, and<\/b> 5) a journal article or a periodical accessed through the LSUA (and only the LSUA) databases.  NOTE:  if you are pursuing a BA, the standard citation format is MLA, but if you are pursuing a BS, the standard is APA.  See your textbook or the APA Website for examples, and use those examples to format your information.   Due May 18 by 11 PM. <\/b><\/p>\n

Grading Rubric:<\/p>\n

50-46 points:  The paraphrase, quotation, and citations are all correct, or there are two minor <\/b>errors <\/p>\n

45-41 points:  The paraphrase, quotation, and citations have more than two minor errors<\/p>\n

40-30 points:  The paraphrase, quotation, and citations have one or two major<\/b> errors<\/p>\n

29-25 points:  The paraphrase, quotation, and citations have three or more<\/b> major errors<\/p>\n
