\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Paper must be your own original work.  You must use in-text citations when drawing from an outside source, either quoting directly or paraphrasing.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span><\/span>You must be culturally sensitive in your paper.  You are to investigate your topic of choice and present it in your paper without prejudgments.  <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Must be typed and doubled-spaced, with 12-point <\/span><\/span><\/span>Times New Roman <\/span><\/span><\/span>font and one-inch margins.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Page requirements are <\/span><\/span><\/span>only a recommendation<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Your assignment will be graded on how well you cove<\/span><\/span>r the requirements of the paper and connect it to course material.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Poor grammar and excessive spelling errors will result in loss of points, but the occasional typo will not count against you.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Your textbook <\/span><\/span><\/span>and course materials <\/span><\/span><\/span>may not<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>count as one of these <\/span><\/span><\/span>3<\/span><\/span> <\/span>references, but you should cite it in the text where necessary and include it in the bibliography.  <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Your media choices should be cited and included in your bibliography but do not count as one of the three academic references.  <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Although online references are allowed, make sure they are reputable, verifiable sources.  Joe <\/span><\/span><\/span>Schmoe\u2019s<\/span><\/span> <\/span>blog will not count as an acceptable source. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Internet based Encyclopedias such as \u201cWikipedia\u201d may not be used as a referenced resource and will result in a loss of points.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Make sure that you reflect on what we have been learning in this class.  A paper that does not tie in concepts we are learning in this course will not receive a good grade.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
