\ntopic for the dissertation. Your topic must be relevant to the field of
\neducation and directly related to your specific degree program. For example,
\nstudents in the Curriculum and Instruction<\/i> program must choose a topic
\nrelevant to curriculum and instruction, those in Higher Education
\nAdministration<\/i> must choose a topic relevant to higher education, etc. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>The
\nfirst paragraph will identify and discuss the topic, including a brief summary
\nof its social and historical contexts and its relationship to education. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>The
\nsecond paragraph will explain why you consider this a worthwhile topic, which
\nmay include personal experience and research goals. The use of first-person is
\nappropriate for this paragraph. <\/span><\/p>\n

At least two
\nscholarly, peer-reviewed articles published within the past five years must be
\ncited in the paper with an appropriate references page attached. <\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nessay should utilize formal, academic writing standards and adhere to current
\nAPA formatting guidelines.<\/span><\/p>\n
