Case Family: Students should briefly (in one paragraph or half a page)introduce the case family.<br \/>\nStudents are strongly encouraged to use their own family of origin as the case example, including<br \/>\nonly information that students feel comfortable disclosing.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>2. Theory Application: This project will cover the following family therapies: (a) Haley\u2019s strategic family<br \/>\ntherapy and (b) Minuchin\u2019s structural family therapy.<br \/>\nFrom the perspective of each of these two theories, the student will (a) provide a theory-based<br \/>\nassessment of the family; and (b) provide an overview of how treatment might proceed, including<br \/>\ntheory-based goals and a clear description of two theory-based interventions (intervention<br \/>\ndescription: what might the therapist do or say).&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>3. SocioculturalAttunement:Students will discuss the sociocultural issues as they pertain to the case<br \/>\nfamily. The mother is a Caucasian 58 year old nurse named Amy. She<br \/>\nstruggles with Lupus, and is not very active. The father, a Caucasian 57 year<br \/>\nold named James works part time at Fed-Ex. He is in good health. They have been<br \/>\ntogether for 30 years. Together, they have two daughters very close in age.<br \/>\nAnna, the youngest, is a graduate school student focusing in the field of<br \/>\npsychology. Lana, the eldest, is a 28 year old college graduate who is away<br \/>\nfrom the home, mostly, staying with her boyfriend Nate. The two daughters are<br \/>\nnot currently in work. The family lives in a small town close to Nashville, TN.<br \/>\nThey have two small dogs and one cat.
