The objective of the second essay is to evaluate to what extent you can take and argue for a holistic position on a specific policy and use evidence from multiple types of sources to support your position.<\/span>
This essay is about answering the following 3 part question:<\/span><\/div>\n

  • What reform from chapter 9 should be prioritized by reformers and activists?<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • What systemic challenges to this reform should reformers expect?<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • And what groups will need to be involved in order for the reforms to succeed?<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    To answer this question, Professor asks we use chapter 9 from <\/span>Convicting the Innocent<\/i>, another chapter from that same book, and reference the Philly DA video (Salazar, Nicole, Ted Passon, and Yoni Brook. <\/span><\/span>Philly DA.<\/i> <\/span>San Francisco, California, USA: Collective Eye Films, 2022. Film) –> <\/span> basically saying the paper <\/span>must reference the following:<\/span><\/div>\n

    • <\/span>\u201cReforming the Criminal Justice System\u201d in <\/span>Convicting the Innocent<\/i><\/span><\/li>\n
    • <\/span>An additional chapter from <\/span>Convicting the Innocent<\/i><\/span><\/li>\n
    • <\/span>Philly DA<\/i><\/span><\/li>\n

    • <\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      These are the requirements:<\/div>\n

        \n
      • use those three sources I listed just above (two chapters from convicting the innocent textbook, Philly DA video)<\/li>\n
      •  <\/span>write 1100 to 1500 (minimum is firm, maximum is flexible) words organized into well-structured paragraphs, and follow either APA or MLA in-text citation guidelines.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • MLA citations (including a works cited not part of the 5 opages written)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
        The point of this essay is to take a position and argue for a specific policy. I am attaching 2 PDFs. One is an example of how you can outline the paper (I listed requirements and put space for quotes), the second is an example of how to layout the actual content of your essay.
