An installation or sculpture project is the perfect opportunity to showcase the skill of collaboration. When students reflect on and assess their collaborative work, respect for and listening to others are important criteria. Becoming active listeners sharpens students in their role as audience members and viewers of art.<br \/>\nIDEA GENERATION<br \/>\nStudents helping a peer create reinforces one\u2019s own artistic knowledge and skills. Working with peers leads to exciting and interesting artwork individuals might not ever land on. More hands and brains at work mean greater ideas generated<br \/>\nCOOPERATION.<br \/>\nCollaborating helps students develop patience and empathy for their peers. Having to work with others at a pace that might be faster or slower than what they are normally accustomed to builds flexibility and open-mindedness.<br \/>\nPRACTICALITY<br \/>\nSometimes you just don\u2019t have the space to store twenty to thirty large sculpture projects in your room.
