It’s only later that the enchanted tragedy emerged in this world and there were no longer happy Indians.
He then puts together his own cocaine museum that only ends with him looking back and reflecting on how he wrote
the book. But what is the equivalent of the Gold Museum and the disenchanted tragedy here at Buffalo State
University? Find it, describe it, and using any three of Taussig’s own installation categories from his cocaine
museum produce your own tiny analytical/ethnographic portrait of the zone known as Buffalo State University.
Finally, how does the smile haunt the landscape?

This is from the professor on the example essay I’m going to upload :

The author of this essay changed my life at this school. I remember her. The department does not even though she won the Newman Clement Award and is one of the most successful graduates of our program. Somewhere in a file or in a filing cabinet are records of her awards. There were others. Her essay is more sophisticated than many professors’ works. What but what to make of this faraway moment in Buffalo State history? The current demographics, the commodity constellation, and the exposure to famous sociologists like Paul Willis are remainders from a different time. The blackboard she describes in her opening is now a rarity on campus but the currents in the classroom she documents seem to be even stronger. Rereading her paper after so many years makes me long for those earlier moments when an alternative world still seemed possible at Buffalo State. Once I disappear from here, she will as well as a writer/theorist, though she is courted for money by the administration, her academic achievements are unknown and unacknowledged in a strange version of don’t ask, don’t tell as if they themselves were part of the deviant sexuality. If her essay is placed next to my Gold Museum question what occurs? Using her essay and your own material answer the Gold Museum question.

Essay requirments: Size 10 font, single-spaced, 3 & 1/2 page min.

If you do not read the instructions please don’t waste my time, this is for an honors senion seminar class in sociology and the professor is very strict, this will require socioligical knowlege i will provide an example essay from a past student differnt essay topic but he wants use to use it as a […]

[681
