This semester we have explored a rich variety of sources dealing with centuries of African Diaspora history in Latin America, including legal codes, scholarly texts, news articles, podcasts, visual images (i.e., paintings, photographs, and maps), documentaries, and films. When you take stock of all these sources (including those we’ve explored in class), what are the three that have had the most influence on your thinking, and why? What do these sources capture about the past, present, or future of the African Diaspora in Latin America that you find especially compelling? To answer these questions, be sure to provide as detailed a description of each source as possible, and a thorough explanation of whether it changed your thinking on a certain subject, added complexity and nuance to things you already understood, or introduced you to entirely new ways of thinking about the African Diaspora in Latin America.<\/span><\/div>\n
