There are three major parts to this assignment: 1) works cited page2) a petition arguing that your topic\/issue requires immediate attention 3) evidence backed up by research<\/span><\/p>\n

1.<\/span>\t<\/span><\/span>Your works cited page must contain at least 7 scholarly sources with correct MLA citation <\/span><\/p>\n

2.<\/span>\t<\/span><\/span>You will then take your research and draft a 9 page research paper that details all of the important aspects of your topic, including history, impact, current situation, who\u2019s involved, etc. In this paper you will include at least 7 scholarly sources to support your reasoning.<\/span><\/p>\n

3.<\/span> Within your research paper, you must <\/span><\/span>petition that your issue requires immediate attention in a clear manner. <\/span><\/p>\n

***My petition is that improving<\/span> gut health is the most important variable for increasing the quality of one’s life.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

A successful research paper will accomplish the following: <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/span>\t<\/span><\/span>Produce a petition which skillfully uses the rhetorical appeals logos, ethos, and pathos<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/span>\t<\/span><\/span>Places your own argument in a place of societal and cultural relevance <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/span>\t<\/span><\/span>Points out why the current (or impending) situation is negative and requires a remedy. ***My perspective is that many people are suffering mentally and physically and requires a remedy. <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/span>\t<\/span><\/span>Introduces a feasible alternative to the current situation that is backed up by solid research. ***The solution is to improve one’s gut health.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/span>\t<\/span><\/span>Provides a solid background with good, credible sources in the research paper <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/span>\t<\/span><\/span>Uses sources by correctly paraphrasing, summarizing and directly quoting in MLA style <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/span>\t<\/span><\/span>Considers the other side of the issue and refutes those points <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/span>\t<\/span><\/span>Includes a Works Cited<\/span><\/p>\n

Formatting Guidelines: Papers must be typed, double-spaced, with page numbers and an ORIGINAL title. You should use 12 pt. Times New Roman font, 1\u201d margins, and a header that includes page numbers and your last name. You will lose points if your papers are not formatted properly. <\/span><\/p>\n
