Start by picking one of Cohen\u2019s \u2018Seven Thesis\u2019 and after summarizing its meaning, use it to frame a comparison and\/or contrast with Shelley and Ito \u2014 whether its through a character portrait, a series of scenes, an underlying theme, the epistolary or other literary device, ecology and nature, society in relation to \u2018the other\u2019, and etc. Let this comparison and\/or contrast form your thesis, and find two secondary sources that support this thesis \u2014 whether academic articles, podcasts, and\/or interviews with academics, writers, or the artists. Root your thesis in observation and direct quotations from at least two corresponding scenes from Shelley\u2019s text, and two panels from Ito\u2019s manga. Ask yourself what Shelley and Ito want to reveal to their readers in the examples you chose and let us know what you think and feel in relation to that. In conclusion, offer us a contemporary example \u2014 whether a story, tv show, or comic \u2014 and interrelate that back through Cohen\u2019s thesis. In this way you will offer three different versions of Frankenstein and monster culture from three different times. How does Cohen\u2019s thesis apply to all three examples?
