The purpose of the assignment is to learn how to connect with your elected officials and remain civically engaged at the local level, while solving national security problems. The assignment fulfills Learning Objectives 3 and 4 in the syllabus.<\/div>\n
Think about the community in which you live in. Identify a problem that is or has potential to be a threat to national security. Write a letter to your U.S. Representative explaining the problem. In your explanation, provide a detailed level of research to your problem and solution. Your report should be only four (4) paragraphs long and should follow the format below. A Template Letter (Sample Letter to Elected Officials<\/a>) is also provided for you to consult.<\/div>\n
