Whilst the adoption of advanced<br \/>\npractice roles, which incorporate reporting radiographers, has been well<br \/>\nestablished internationally, acceptance and implementation of clinical<br \/>\nreporting by trained radiographers in Australia have been slow (Wood, 2022).<br \/>\nThis presents a valuable case for investigation. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 200%; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 200%; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Diagnostic radiographers are an<br \/>\nindispensable part of the diagnostic pathway and have proven to be well-equipped<br \/>\nto learn new skills and competencies (McConnell &amp; Baird, 2017). <span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<\/span>Studies propose that upskilling and role<br \/>\ndevelopment benefit the individual and create a more collaborative workforce<br \/>\n(Field &amp; Snaith, 2013). Research also suggests radiographer reporting can<br \/>\nimprove patient service delivery and be advantageous to expediting the<br \/>\ndiagnosis and review of clinically significant findings to the Radiologist (Page,<br \/>\nBernoth, &amp; Davidson, 2014). <span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<\/span>If the<br \/>\ntransfer of responsibilities is viable and patient care is improved, its<br \/>\nimplementation should be seriously considered. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 200%; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 200%; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">This proposal aims to undertake a<br \/>\nnarrative review of the current literature surrounding the adoption of clinical<br \/>\nreporting by radiographers in Australia, with a primary focus on the barriers<br \/>\nthat impede its implementation and why a formalised approach to radiographer<br \/>\nreporting can be justified.<\/p>\n<p>Marking rubric:<br \/><b>Introduction&nbsp;<\/b><\/span><span style=\"color: inherit; font-weight: bolder; background-color: transparent; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit;\">(15 points)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 200%; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\"><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Well-developed research question\/hypothesis.
