Wow. We reached the end. It feels like just yesterday I was waving an australopithecine skull at you all and trying to convince you that Darwin is weird.<\/span><\/p>\n

So! Your final is upon us! As I mentioned, you can either take the two hour exam on May 9th or do a final paper. The following are the instructions for the final paper.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a good ol’ fashioned final paper, I’d like you to write c. 1250-1300 words, which is roughly 5 pages.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can write on a topic of your choosing in anthropology. That’s right, the world is your oyster! All I need is 4 high quality sources (one of which can be Lavenda and Schultz and another can be one of the resources we used for external readings).<\/span><\/p>\n

Think about what topics we talked about in class that really interested you.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maybe it was feminist archaeology or polyandry or australopithecines or pidgin.<\/span><\/p>\n

Focus on a specific topic and do some research on it beyond Lavenda and Schultz. Try to construct a narrative or argument around the topic itself. I am available to help talk you through the paper construction as well if you need it.<\/span><\/p>\n

You’re also welcome to take a less conventional take on this assignment, creating a work of art or podcast or film that embodies or explains an anthropological concept, idea, or object.<\/span><\/p>\n
