Create a mosaic (colored pattern or picture) on the 10 by 10 grid on the Mosaic worksheet. You must<br \/>\nuse at least 5 colors. (Worksheet courtesy of Christina Bower)&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>2. List all of the colors used in the chart and the&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>number of squares that are filled with that color.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>3. Finish filling out the chart by figuring out the fraction of each color in your&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>picture. Make sure to<br \/>\nreduce all fractions. Then convert each fraction to a decimal and a percent.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>4. Fill in the missing information on the chart on the second page of the Mosaic worksheet.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Part B \u2013 Internet Research<br \/>\nDirections:<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;The internet is a wonderful way to find new ideas to use in the classroom. For each of the items<br \/>\nbelow, you will find one internet site.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Copy the URL into your document and then answer any additional<br \/>\ninformation that is asked for. (please see examples for format.) Please<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;keep paragraph to 3 &#8211; 5 sentences.<br \/>\nFor #1-3, pick a concept that we have covered DURING THIS SEMESTER so far. (I want to use<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;Operation of decimals)<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;1. Lesson plan site \u2013 Find a lesson that covers the concept you picked. Write a paragraph on why you<br \/>\npicked that lesson and what you liked about it.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>2. Worksheet site \u2013 Pick a worksheet that could have been used with the lesson plan from #1.<br \/>\nComplete the worksheet yourself. Then scan or take a picture of your solutions.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;3. An Activity site \u2013 Find an activity that is related to the lesson in #1. This activity should either<br \/>\nintroduce the lesson or help the student further understand the topic. Make a list of all of the materials<br \/>\nneeded and write a paragraph explaining how to do the activity in your own words.<br \/>\nFor #4-6, the websites do not have to be related to the lesson in #1-3.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>4. A history of math site \u2013 Write a paragraph about why you chose this site and something new that you<br \/>\nlearned.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;5. A site for current issues in mathematics education \u2013 Write a paragraph about why you chose this site<br \/>\nand what you learned about this issue.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;6. Choose one of the following:<br \/>\na. A site that shows a connection between math and art. Write a paragraph explaining this<br \/>\nconnection.<br \/>\nb. A site that shows a connection between math and music. Write a paragraph explaining this<br \/>\nconnection.<br \/>\nc. A site that shows a connection between math and a sport.
