    Choose a theme that you find in two of the novels we\u2019ve read since the first essay (<\/span>Charlottte\u2019s Web<\/span>, <\/span>From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler<\/span>, and <\/span>Number the Stars<\/span>).  Compare (and contrast) how the theme works in <\/span>the two novels<\/span>.  For instance, if you choose Friendship as your theme, ask yourself, What do each of these novels have to say about Friendship? How is their treatment of Friendship similar and how does it differ? <\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Regardless of which option you choose, your essay\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n
