Review of the Literature   <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Guided by the <\/span><\/span><\/span>t<\/span><\/span>opic area that you have identified, conduct a <\/span><\/span><\/span>review of the literature<\/span><\/span> <\/span>in order to, 1) further define and explain the condition \/ situation you have identified, and 2) discuss the historical significance of the condition \/ situation (<\/span><\/span>i.g.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>what has led up to the current circumstance?), and 3) investigate approaches documented in the literature to address and\/or remediate the condition \/ circumstance you have identified. The literature review should inform your understanding of the condition \/ situation as well as help you to formulate a plan of remediation \/ correction. It should contain ample references to demonstrate a thorough review of the salient literature on the topic. <\/span><\/span><\/span>S<\/span><\/span>tudies should be cited throughout the paper as appropriate and listed in the Selected Bibliography (at the end of your paper) using APA format.  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Intervention Plan<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After you condu<\/span><\/span>ct a <\/span><\/span><\/span>review of the literature<\/span><\/span> <\/span>relevant to <\/span><\/span><\/span>your<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>topic of interest,<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>you will need <\/span><\/span><\/span>to <\/span><\/span><\/span>identif<\/span><\/span>y<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>a<\/span><\/span>n <\/span><\/span><\/span>intervention plan<\/span><\/span>that describes the<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>strategies<\/span><\/span>\/remediation<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>you <\/span><\/span><\/span>will implement <\/span><\/span><\/span>in order to<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>remediate the condition \/ circumstance<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Your <\/span><\/span><\/span>strategies<\/span><\/span>\/remediation<\/span><\/span> <\/span>should <\/span><\/span><\/span>demonstrate that you have a thorough understanding of content knowledge. <\/span><\/span><\/span>In the intervention plan, p<\/span><\/span>rovide a description <\/span><\/span><\/span>all aspects of your plan, including the methods and strategies you will employ. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Be sure your description <\/span><\/span><\/span>provides a well-developed picture of all strategies and how they were implemented. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Some possible <\/span><\/span><\/span>strategies \/ methods may incorporate one or more of the following:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

o <\/span><\/span>Review best practice in programs\/intervention models\/institutions with <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>explanation and examples based on the research, and develop new<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>approaches\/systems<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>and designs<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>for implementation<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
o <\/span><\/span>Develop<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>an<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>educational<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>model\/<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>curricular<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>design<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>based<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>on<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>the<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>research<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

o <\/span><\/span>Identifying or designing a model for educational programs and services that meet<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>a<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>particular need<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>or group<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>of students<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>and\/or parents and<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>families<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
o <\/span><\/span>Development of continuing education and professional development programs for<\/span><\/span> <\/span>      <\/span><\/span><\/span>teachers.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

The<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>paper should discuss <\/span><\/span><\/span>recent scholarly research that is relevant to the<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>topic<\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span><\/span>why the <\/span><\/span><\/span>intervention<\/span><\/span> <\/span>was selected and provide linkages from the theory to the<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>topic<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>to<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>illustrate<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>relevance<\/span><\/span>. Be as descriptive as you can. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Provide a description of:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>T<\/span><\/span>he audience of your intervention plan (<\/span><\/span>e.g.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>administrators, students, parents, community members) <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span><\/span>The scope of the intervention <\/span><\/span><\/span>\/ timeline <\/span><\/span><\/span>(how long will it take to implement?) and what are the basic components (<\/span><\/span>e.g.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>professional development series, curriculum adaptation, survey or other data collection methods)<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span><\/span>The materials involved in the delivery of the intervention (<\/span><\/span>e.g.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>PowerPoints, small group activities, interviews)<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u2022 <\/span><\/span>How you will measure the effectiveness of the intervention plan<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Intervention Effectiveness<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This section should provide a thorough discussion of the methods you are <\/span><\/span><\/span>using<\/span><\/span> <\/span>to measure the effectiveness \/ impact of implementing the intervention plan (participant evaluations, informal <\/span><\/span><\/span>assessment of content, etc.). The evaluation methods should be appropriate to the intervention plan you are <\/span><\/span><\/span>implementing. <\/span><\/span><\/span>You should include a description of any instruments used (surveys, interviews, evaluations, etc.) and include them (or drafts of them) whenever possible in the appendices. Speak to all aspects of how the evaluation will take place, with whom and when.  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Results<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the <\/span><\/span><\/span>Results<\/span><\/span> <\/span>section of your paper will l report all of the data that you have collected (<\/span><\/span>e.g.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>evaluations, surveys, interviews<\/span><\/span>). In this section, you should report the results as <\/span><\/span><\/span>objectively as possible, with no interpretation<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Reserve your interpretation for the <\/span><\/span><\/span>Reflection<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>section of the paper. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

When reporting the results, consider the most effective ways to present the data. Do so in ways that provide clarity and context for the reader. You should utilize summary tables and graphs (bar charts, histograms, pie charts, line graphs, etc.) as appropriate. Please refer to the resource in the Moodle folder entitled, <\/span><\/span><\/span>Presenting Numerical Data<\/span><\/span> <\/span>for guidance and ideas.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Reflection <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Th<\/span><\/span>e <\/span><\/span><\/span>reflection <\/span><\/span><\/span>se<\/span><\/span>ction<\/span><\/span> <\/span>of your <\/span><\/span><\/span>paper<\/span><\/span> <\/span>includes your transformative reflection and addresses the conclusions you can draw from your experience. Start with the impact on <\/span><\/span><\/span>the participants<\/span><\/span>. Did you accomplish what you hoped to accomplish? Does that goal seem important in hindsight? <\/span><\/span><\/span>What other outcomes did you see that you didn\u2019t expect or didn\u2019t think would be as important as they turned out to be? Reflect on what happened and how it impacted the <\/span><\/span><\/span>participants<\/span><\/span> <\/span>including the <\/span><\/span><\/span>topic of interest<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>While this section has some summative aspects, it is meant to be reflective, so do not simple recount what your <\/span><\/span><\/span>topic of interest<\/span><\/span>, the <\/span><\/span><\/span>intervention<\/span><\/span> <\/span>you employed and the data you collected. Share with the reader what you learned from the process, how it impacted the <\/span><\/span><\/span>subjects<\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span><\/span>what e<\/span><\/span>ffect<\/span><\/span> <\/span>it had<\/span><\/span>, and what you might do differently in the future.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
