Annotations are short paragraphs between 150-200 words, and bibliographies are the sources (citation) entries; therefore, an annotated bibliography will include the source (citation\/journal article) entry and a brief description (summary, evaluation, and reflection) of each of the cited sources. <\/p>\n

Instructions:<\/span> Students have been guided in the individual aspect of developing a mock research inquiry on a topic of interest. This final assignment aims to create an annotated bibliography on a topic related to a domestic or international human<\/u> <\/span>diversity-related issue on the macro level<\/u>. The topic for this research will be “Human Trafficking and Exploitation in the Global Economy. This activity will allow students to explore issues about human behavior and diversity issues as a starting point in developing a research inquiry for the near future. <\/p>\n

Students will choose at least five peer-reviewed research studies (journal articles) related to your topic of interest<\/u> on human diversity from a domestic or international (macro) environmental perspective. Articles must be recent (within the last five years) and relevant to an area of interest. The article selected must use a qualitative research method or a combination of qualitative and quantitative research.<\/p>\n

For EACH article selected, students will create an annotated bibliography using the questions below as a guide for their annotations. See APA Manual (7th Edition) page 61-67 for sample student paper for proper APA formatting. These questions must be answered in the Annotated Bibliography.<\/p>\n

  2.  Identify the research question regarding diversity as applied in this article using supporting statements. (5 pts.)<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Identify and define the population that is the subject of this research article and why you believe this is an important human diversity issue in social work practice. (5 pts)<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. What were the research findings of the study and their implications for social work practice for you as a student? What is your interest in this research topic as a social work student? (10 pts)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
