We&#8217;ve studied how media facilitates, challenges, and enables our societal power dynamics and cultural identities. And, we&#8217;ve analyzed our own relationship with media.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12px 0px; font-size: 12px; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">For your final paper, please select at least two of the broad constructs we&#8217;ve covered (Gender, Class, Race, LGBTQ, Religion, and Abilities) and one long-format media piece. This might be a movie, a TV series, an advertising campaign, a lengthy magazine article, or some lengthy series of print or broadcast journalism.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12px 0px; font-size: 12px; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Write a three- to four-page paper examining your media example through the lenses of your chosen constructs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12px 0px; font-size: 12px; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">How do you see your constructs represented in your example?<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<\/span><strong style=\"font-weight: bold; cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">Pay special attention to the intersection of your constructs.<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong>What might the impact of this be? How might the media professionals who created your example have made better choices? And\/or, what choices did they make really well?<span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"cursor: auto; color: inherit;\">What can you learn from your analysis to inspire you in your own professional practice? What can you learn that might change your habits as a media consumer?
