For your final paper, please select at least two of the broad constructs we’ve covered (Gender, Class, Race, LGBTQ, Religion, and Abilities) and one long-format media piece. This might be a movie, a TV series, an advertising campaign, a lengthy magazine article, or some lengthy series of print or broadcast journalism. <\/p>\n
Write a three- to four-page paper examining your media example through the lenses of your chosen constructs. <\/p>\n
How do you see your constructs represented in your example? <\/span>Pay special attention to the intersection of your constructs. <\/span><\/strong>What might the impact of this be? How might the media professionals who created your example have made better choices? And\/or, what choices did they make really well? <\/span>What can you learn from your analysis to inspire you in your own professional practice? What can you learn that might change your habits as a media consumer? Be sure to consider your example through a lens of fault lines and privilege, also.<\/span><\/p>\n If possible, share a link to your example.
