The fact sheet<br \/>\nshould be graphically designed, not written like a paper. You should synthesize relevant course material,<br \/>\nyour textbook, and outside research to describe a topic by presenting the most recent and pertinent<br \/>\ninformation.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Imagine you are handing your fact sheet to someone with limited, to no, knowledge about your selected<br \/>\ntopic and you want them to quickly learn the most critical information. To do so effectively, you should<br \/>\nuse brief, clear, and jargon-free language, and colors, shapes, or images to get your audiences\u2019 attention.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Topic:&nbsp;<\/b><\/div>\n<div>You may select any criminal justice system-related topic. As you are selecting your topic, please keep the<br \/>\nrequirements below in consideration to be sure that you can address each. A list of example topics is<br \/>\nbelow, however, you are not limited to one of these:&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><b>Law enforcement&nbsp;<\/b><\/div>\n<div>-closure rates&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>-use of technology&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>-use-of-force&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><b>Courts&nbsp;<\/b><\/div>\n<div>-plea bargains&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>-pretrial detention\/bail&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>-wrongful convictions&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><b>Corrections&nbsp;<\/b><\/div>\n<div>-electronic monitoring&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>-solitary confinement&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>-substance abuse treatment&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The following components must be included in your fact sheet:&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>(1) Description or overview of the topic (e.g., What is it? Why is it important?)&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>(2) Description of the relevant research<br \/>\na. At least three reputable sources must be cited in a footnote at the very bottom of your fact<br \/>\nsheet or on a separate page (e.g., peer-reviewed articles, books, government reports)&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>(3) Discussion of the impact<br \/>\na. You must include at least one graph or table showing the impact, growth, or change of your topic<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Additional requirements:&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>(1) Fact sheet must be graphically designed, not written like a paper<br \/>\na.
