There is so much to think about when you are proofreading it is nearly impossible to check for every type of possible issue at the same time.  It can be helpful to schedule multiple proofreading sessions (sweeps) that each focused on a few similar elements then sweep the essay again for another type of problem.<\/p>\n

For example, if your academic essay is due on Monday it would be a good practice to follow something like the schedule of proofreading sweeps provided below:<\/p>\n

Most importantly, don\u2019t neglect to utilize all of the tools you have to help you proofread your paper.  The college offers many types of tutoring including our own tutoring center. You also have access to SMARTHINKING tutoring which can be found in the course navigation menu. SMARTHINKING can help you proofread your work but be sure you give them at least 72 hours to get back to you.<\/p>\n

What do I do for this Assignment?<\/h3>\n

For this assignment, you will create a revision plan for drafting and improving your second research paper before it is due. For your plan, please list the areas of the paper you are most concerned with and how you plan to improve these.  Then, create a timeline like the one above that sets a schedule for when and what elements of your paper you will be revising.<\/p>\n

This assignment should be a single page and submitted as a .doc or .docx file.<\/p>\n
