\nare three exhibits in the case; here is an excel spreadsheet containing all

Read
\nthe case a couple of times to understand the basic situation. Ignore the
\nrequired questions on page 3 of the case. Instead, go to the Danshui quiz in
\nthis Module and work on the questions contained in the quiz. You have unlimited
\ntry to answer these questions. First four quiz questions are related to
\ncomputing the breakeven units. The remaining questions have to do with preparing
\na flexible budget and computing material and labor variances. Detailed
\ninstructions are provided in the quiz itself and in the spreadsheet above.
\nFinally, there is one qualitative discussion question based on your variance
\nanalysis. Please watch the live session recording where I gave you an overview
\nof the requirements for this case.<\/span><\/p>\n

Format<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

The
\nformat of this case is different from previous cases.<\/span><\/p>\n

You
\nwill submit (1) a single spreadsheet file containing all of your calculations,
\n(2) numerical answers to specific questions about breakeven units, specific
\nvariances and their classifications as favorable or unfavorable, and (3)
\nqualitative discussions based on your variance analysis. Regarding your
\nsubmission of specific answers to your questions, you will not receive
\nreal-time feedback as to whether your calculations are correct, as this is a
\ncase analysis in the same category of Asante and Gibson, as opposed to a
\npreparatory assignment (i.e., like those assignments that you saw for Seligram
\nand Bill French). <\/span><\/p>\n

However,
\nyou are free to submit as many times as you would like. The last submission
\nsubmitted before the deadline is what will be assessed and scored.<\/span><\/p>\n

Deliverable and Submission<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

Each individual<\/span><\/strong> is required to submit a deliverable on their own.<\/span><\/p>\n

However,
\nyou are free to work with others on this case.<\/span><\/p>\n

This
\ncan include your assigned group, a subset of your assigned group, or any other
\ngroup of your choosing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thus,
\nit is fine if you submit the same “answers” as others do (i.e., a
\ncopy that you all submit individually).<\/span><\/p>\n
