U.S. History Recovery Project<\/p>\n

As a way to earn back credit for your low performing units this year, you will\n<\/div>\n
have the opportunity to show mastery of the unit content. The grade you receive\n<\/div>\n
on the recovery assignment will be averaged with your original test grade for that\n<\/div>\n
unit. If you want to do more than one unit, that is allowed.\n<\/div>\n
\u25cf You may do any of the units:\n<\/div>\n
\u25cb Unit 1: Colonization\n<\/div>\n
\u25cb Unit 2: The American Revolution\n<\/div>\n
\u25cb Unit 3: The Constitution\n<\/div>\n
\u25cb Unit 4: Westward Expansion\n<\/div>\n
\u25cb Unit 5: Civil War\n<\/div>\n
\u25cb Unit 6: Industrialization and Progressive Era\n<\/div>\n
\u25cb Unit 7: Imperialism and World War I\n<\/div>\n
\u25cb Unit 8: Great Depression and World War II\n<\/div>\n
\u25cb Unit 9: Cold War and Civil Rights\n<\/div>\n
\u25cf You must complete BOTH parts of the recovery in order for the project to\n<\/div>\n
be graded.\n<\/div>\n
\u25cf No late assignments will be accepted: Due May 19th\n<\/div>\n
\u25cf In class time will be given, however you may need to do some work at home.\n<\/div>\n

*Any form of plagiarism will disqualify you from receiving extra credit please make\n<\/div>\n
sure you do not copy\/paste and cite anything! This includes if you use the\n<\/div>\n
powerpoint slides from class*\n<\/div>\n
Part 1\n<\/div>\n
In this part you will be writing a summary of your chosen unit, it needs to outline what the\n<\/div>\n
unit covered and why the unit is important to U.S. History.\n<\/div>\n
Requirements:\n<\/div>\n
Minimum of 375 words\n<\/div>\n
Double Spaced\n<\/div>\n
Times New Roman font\n<\/div>\n
Minimum 2 outside sources (other than class notes & book) (you must cite class notes)\n<\/div>\n
Must be sited on a reference page in MLA format\n<\/div>\n
Proper Grammar<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Part 2\n<\/div>\n
For this section you will be creating a presentation explaining each of the standards for\n<\/div>\n
your chosen Unit. The standards must be clearly identified and you must demonstrate mastery and\n<\/div>\n
understanding of each one.\n<\/div>\n
