You will develop an effective presentation using the skills learned in this course. Review the final project instructions, final project rubric, and final project checklist below.<\/p>\n<div>In this final project, you will use data on Top\u2019t Corn\u2019s financial activities (an imaginary popcorn business). This will be an exploration of the practical review and presentation of Top&#8217;t Corn&#8217;s raw business data, pivot tables, and charts. You will create a Presentation sharing the Excel data workbook and what the data means to you. Review the final project instructions below and the Excel data workbook. (link will be below)\n<\/div>\n<div>\u00acCTA 326 Final  Project\n<\/div>\n<div>In this project, you will work with sales data from Top\u2019t Corn, a popcorn company with an online store, multiple food trucks, and one store in a local shopping mall.\n<\/div>\n<div>There are 4 food truck locations and Tyson\u2019s store in the mall.  The New Truck tab in the Excel file (linked above) shows data on whether they can afford a loan.\n<\/div>\n<div>Notice these calculations in the data:\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\tCalculated totals\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\tPie charts representing total units sold by location\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\tColumn chart that represents sales by popcorn type\n<\/div>\n<div>\u2022\tLoan payment calculations for a new truck\n<\/div>\n<div>Review and present on all eight (8) Excel spreadsheets (Data, Trucks, New Truck, Tyson Store, Online Sales Table, two PivotTables and a PivotChart). Analyze the data so that you can report it out to an audience such as your work peers and your boss. You will develop a presentation using the visual aid tools learned in your textbook, Integrating Excel into Business Problem Solving. You can record the presentation using the Kaltura screencast media, Vimeo the video-sharing website or Quicktime Recorder for the MAC or Windows Media Player for the PC. You must record and demonstrate the eight (8) Excel spreadsheets. Do not present using a PowerPoint presentation.\n<\/div>\n<div>DIRECTIONS:\n<\/div>\n<div>In this final project presentation, you will answer the questions below in your presentation. You do not have to say the questions out loud, but you must discuss your data in terms of the questions below, as if you are reporting your data to your boss.\n<\/div>\n<div>Present the information in the Excel data workbook while demonstrating the various Excel functions and features you learned in the course, such as creating a table to demonstrate filtering and\/or sorting, conditional formatting, PivotTable(s), and the PivotChart field list pane, slicers, and filtering features. Explain and answer the questions below using the Excel spreadsheets in the data workbook and do not present the information using screenshots or images of the spreadsheets.\n<\/div>\n<div>1.\tWhat is the company name and what kind of data will you be presenting?\n<\/div>\n<div>2.\tWhat does the raw data spreadsheet show?\n<\/div>\n<div>3.\tWhat data do the PivotChart and PivotTables summarize?\n<\/div>\n<div>4.\tWhy is this summarized data important?\n<\/div>\n<div>5.\tFind the top 10 sales dates and discuss the average minimum and maximum sales in relationship to the daily sales goal.\n<\/div>\n<div>6.\tDo you recommend increasing the price per box of popcorn? Your answer should demonstrate whether the new price will increase the number of days the sales goals will be met.\n<\/div>\n<div>7.\tExplain some maximum and minimum data on your PivotTable\/Chart.\n<\/div>\n<div>8.\tExplain the data on the Online Sales Table worksheet.\n<\/div>\n<div>9.\tDo you recommend buying a new truck? Explain your decision based on the dollar amount of money the company will gain or lose if they purchase a new truck.\n<\/div>\n<div>In your presentation, you should utilize Tips for Effective Presentations listed on page 95 of your textbook (Figure A8-1) and insert the following.\n<\/div>\n<div>1.\tA title introduction project overview worksheet with a list of group members&#8217; names who participated in the project.\n<\/div>\n<div>2.\tA closing worksheet with a summary of the presentation.\n<\/div>\n<div>3.\tUsing the skills you learned in Excel Chapter 5, include images and\/or screenshots on the overview and summary sheets.\n<\/div>\n<div>4.\tOptional: List each member&#8217;s contributions to the presentation, i.e. student name and topics developed.\n<\/div>\n<div>You will create a screencast video where you will present your Excel data workbook.\n<\/div>\n<div>1.\tUse KalturaLinks to an external site. to narrate and record your screen.\n<\/div>\n<div>2.\tReview the rubric as your guide on how you will be graded by your instructor. This will ensure your project meets the requirements.\n<\/div>\n<div>The goal of the presentation is to demonstrate your knowledge of Excel and data analysis reporting skills. Make sure that when you demonstrate and explain the data as instructed, you are very descriptive, as if explaining to an audience with no prior knowledge of Excel spreadsheets or analysis of data.
