I have written my Chapter 3 proposal for leadership competencies. I was hoping you could go over and rewrite them again. <\/p>\n

Rationale for the Research Approach\n<\/div>\n
Identify the research design and its connection to the research questions. Explain any time and resource constraints consistent with the design choice. Describe how the design choice is consistent with research designs needed to advance knowledge in the discipline. Concisely state the study variables (independent, dependent, covariate, mediating, and\/or moderating variables) as appropriate. This section should be 1-3 pages in length.\n<\/div>\n
Methodology
\n<\/u><\/b><\/div>\n
The methodology needs to be described in sufficient depth so that other researchers can replicate the study. If doing an experiment, describe the nature of the work.\n<\/div>\n
Population\n<\/div>\n
If conducting a survey, define the target population. State target population size (if known) or approximate\/estimated size. This section should be less than 1 page in length.\n<\/div>\n
Sampling and Sampling Procedures
\n<\/u><\/b><\/div>\n
If conducing a survey, identify and justify the type of sampling strategy. Explain specific procedures for how the sample was drawn. Describe the sampling frame (inclusion and exclusion criteria). This section may be about 1 page in length.\n<\/div>\n
Procedures for Recruitment, Participation, and Data Collection (Primary Data)\n<\/div>\n
For human factors research, thoroughly describe recruiting procedures and particular demographic information that will be collected. Describe how participants will be provided informed consent. Describe how data will be collected. Explain how participants exit the study (for example, debriefing procedures, etc.). Describe any follow-up procedures (such as requirements to return for follow-up interviews, etc.). This section may be about 1 page or more in length.\n<\/div>\n
Artifacts\n<\/div>\n
If the research contribution is the creation of data\/information or the addition of significant knowledge to an existing dataset, a description of the methodology to verify and disseminate it should be included.\n<\/div>\n
Pilot Study (optional)\n<\/div>\n
Describe the relationship of the pilot study to the main study (for example, what is the purpose of the pilot study?). This section may not be appropriate for all studies, but if provided should be 1-3 pages in length. Many of the techniques used in the primary study and the pilot study may be the same.\n<\/div>\n
Instrumentation (optional)\n<\/div>\n

Internal Validity\n<\/div>\n
Describe threats to internal validity (for example, history, maturation, statistical regression, experimental mortality, and selection-maturation interaction as appropriate to the study) and how they will be and \/ or were addressed. This section may be about 1 page in length.\n<\/div>\n
Construct Validity\n<\/div>\n
For surveys, describe any threats to construct or statistical conclusion validity. This section may be about 1 page in length.\n<\/div>\n
Ethical Considerations\n<\/div>\n
Agreements to gain access to participants or data (include actual documents in the IRB application). Describe the treatment of human participants including the following (include actual documents in the Institutional Review Board (IRB) application):\n<\/div>\n
\u2022\tInstitutional permissions, including IRB approvals that are needed (proposal) or were obtained (for the completed dissertation, include relevant IRB approval numbers in the final dissertation).\n<\/div>\n
\u2022\tEthical concerns related to recruitment materials and processes and a plan to address them.\n<\/div>\n
\u2022\tEthical concerns related to data collection\/intervention activities (these could include participants refusing participation or early withdrawal from the study and response to any predicable adverse events) and a plan to address them.\n<\/div>\n
Describe treatment of data (including archival data), including issues of:\n<\/div>\n
