For the final paper you will formulate an argument about narrative medicine based on analysis of information from Tweedy and at least five scholarly journal articles.<\/div>\n

This is a traditional research paper and should have a title page, introduction, thesis, analysis of research, conclusion, and a references page. It should not just be a continuation of your earlier free-write! Instead, it should take up the research question you decided on and use the information and ideas from both the Tweedy novel and at least five journal articles as the basis for your claim.<\/div>\n

Your introduction will serve to announce your topic to your audience. You will finish your introduction with a clearly articulated claim in the form of a thesis statement. <\/div>\n

Your analytical research paragraphs should both present the information and ideas you have found and analyze and elaborate on that information and ideas! In other words, you cannot just summarize the information you find; you must engage that information, probe it, unpack it, and make clear its relevance to the claim that you are making in your paper. <\/div>\n

Your conclusion sums up the main points of your argument and leaves your reader with something to think about. This might be an especially a strong statement, a question, or an unresolved implication that other researchers might take up for further investigation. <\/div>\n
